Résumé

L’objectif de ce travail était de déterminer la valeur moyenne de la pente condylienne du sujet africain mélanoderme et d’établir sa variation selon que la localisation de l’axe charnière est réelle ou arbitraire. Pour ce faire, nous avons réalisé une étude axiographique à l’aide du système « Quick-Axis » (FAG), chez 63 sujets en denture naturelle complète, et présentant une normoclusion de classe I d’Angle. Il en ressort que la valeur moyenne de la pente condylienne est de 44,28° en axe charnière arbitraire et de 45,7° en axe charnière réel. Mais cette différence n’est pas significative. Ainsi, malgré la situation postéro-supérieure du point d’émergence moyen de l’axe charnière réel du sujet africain mélanoderme, la valeur de leur pente condylienne, n’est pas statistiquement différente de celle déterminée en axe charnière conventionnel du système.
L’enregistrement graphique du déplacement condylien par le «Quick-Axis» en propulsion est donc possible sans risque d’erreur dans le tracé et la reproduction des trajectoires mandibulaire. Ce qui est d’un grand intérêt pour l’omnipraticien compte tenu de la simplicité de manipulation du système FAG.

Abstract
Determination of the average value of the condylar slope of Black African

The objective of this work was to determinate the average value of the condylar slope of Black African subject and to set up its variation according to whether the localization of the hinge axis is real or arbitrary. With this intention, we made an axiographic study at 63 subjects presented complete natural teeth, with a normoclusion in class 1 of Angle. The results of this study reveal that the average value of the slope condylar is 44,28° in arbitrary hinge axis and 45,7° in hinge axis real; and this difference is not statistically significant.
The graphic recording of condylar displacement by the “Quick-Axis” is thus possible without risk of error in the layout and the reproduction of the mandible movements which is of a great interest for the general practitioner taking into account the simplicity of handling of the FAG system.
