Abstract
Introduction: Parotid lithiasis is a rare condition. Its diagnosis is clinical and radiological. Sometimes, its rarity sometimes leads to misdiagnosis. The aim of this work was to report the interest of thinking about it and carrying out a careful clinical examination supplemented by more specific imaging.
Observation: A women aged 50, consulted for a painful right parotid-genal swelling that had been present for 2 months in a febrile context. The symptomatology was punctuated by meals. Stomatological examination revealed exo-oral, firm inflammatory parotid swelling without peripheral facial paralysis or lymphadenopathy. Endorally, the ostium of the parotid duct was inflammatory with a release of pus from the expression of the swelling. Biology revealed hyperleukocytosis at 12,000 elements/mm3 ...
