Résumé

Introduction : La prise en charge prothétique de l’édenté complet présentant une crête hyperplasique demande une réflexion, une maitrise des techniques d’empreinte et une rigueur dans leur mise en œuvre. L’objectif de notre étude était d’évaluer la pratique des médecins-dentistes tunisiens dans la prise en charge prothétique des patients édentés complets avec une crête antéro-maxillaire hyperplasique.
Matériels et méthodes : Evaluation des pratiques à travers une étude épidémiologique distribuée en ligne auprès de 100 médecins dentiste tunisiens. L’analyse statistique des données a été faite en utilisant le test khi2 avec un seuil de signification p < 0.05.
Résultats : L’alginate et le polysulfure sont les matériaux les plus utilisés par les médecins dentistes tunisiens lors de la prise des empreintes.
Conclusion : La connaissance fondamentale et l’application clinique permet d’optimiser l’empreinte et de conduire avec succès la thérapeutique prothétique.

Abstract
Impression during the fabrication of total dentures in edentulous patients with antero-maxillary hyperplasia: practice of dentists in Tunisia

Introduction: Prosthetic management of fully edentulous patient with a hyperplasia ridge require reflection, mastery of impression techniques and a rigor in their execution. The aim of our study was to evaluate the practice of Tunisian dentists in the prosthetic management of edentulous patients with a hyperplasia maxillary anterior ridge.
Material and methods: Assessment of practice through an epidemiological study distributed online to 100 Tunisian dentists. Statistical analysis of the data was done using the Khi² with a significant p value < 0.05.
Results: Alginate and polysulfide are the most used materials by Tunisian dentists.
Conclusion: Fundamental knowledge and clinical application allow optimizing the impression and successfully conducting to prosthetic therapy.
